JW Marriott Essex House New York, their Chef Achilles Poliviou, and Food & Beverage Manager Teddy Mihaliadis brought their team to RMH-NY on March 15th and provided a fabulous dinner for the families. Chef Achilles planned the evening’s menu and his team did an amazing job preparing, cooking, and serving our families. Chef Achilles' menu included greens with a crudité of toppings, braised short ribs, roasted chicken, fingerling potatoes, winter succotash, his famous cheesecake and cookies. The families enjoyed the healthy food choices and excellent service from the JW Marriott Essex House New York Team. Chef Achilles said he loves coming to RMH-NY and providing dinners for the families. Teddy added that he enjoys coming and they plan to continue coming back. Both said RMH-NY is a great organization and they are happy to be part of it.
After dinner, the families were entertained by the Aherne Sheehan School of Irish Dance. Dancers Beth Anne, Martina, Liz and Cheryl performed traditional Irish Dancing and even invited families and volunteers to learn a few Irish steps. Wednesday Night Volunteer Dennis McGarry was first to step up for the lesson along with team member Alice Flynn and the families. Everyone enjoyed the dance lesson, and we are ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!
